New Jersey Land Survey Drafting

Land Survey Drafting in New Jersey

Land survey drafting in New Jersey for professional land surveyors. We turn your field data and records into block-and-lot plats, Map Filing Law sheets, and tax map revisions in your title block, with check prints for your supervision and review.

Overview

What is Land Survey Drafting in New Jersey?

We draft New Jersey survey sheets from your field data, deeds, and filed maps. Block and lot references identify the parcel, while your record research and boundary decisions establish the metes and bounds shown on the drawing.

A plat of survey follows Board drawing rules; a map for filing also follows the Map Filing Law. Digital tax map revisions use the Division of Taxation's CAD requirements. Send the municipality, county, and current review checklist so we can set up the appropriate sheet.

Our land survey drafting services include ALTA/NSPS plats with New Jersey municipality, block, and lot details. Confirm the outside-drafting arrangement with the Board or counsel. The licensed surveyor maintains regular, effective supervision during preparation, reviews every sheet in detail, and signs and seals the final plat.

Why it matters

What New Jersey law asks of a survey plat

The plat rules in N.J.A.C. 13:40-5.1 guide the drawing content. We identify any agreed omissions and label a reproduced deed description as "Deed Description." You supervise preparation and provide a detailed review.

Maps for recording follow the Map Filing Law and the recording-form requirements. We set up the specified sheet size, certificate blocks, and found, set, or to-be-set monument labels from your information.

New Jersey has one NAD 83 State Plane zone, 2900. State whether the project uses that system or an assumed basis, with its units.

Sheets use your authorized title block, with the professional land surveyor's name and license number. Your licensee supplies the seal.

Draft and incomplete plans carry the required draft marking and "This is not a sealed document" at the seal location.

Provide found and set corner-marker details and any authorized waiver notation. Arcengine records your information on the drawing and performs no monument installation.

Tell us the applicable major or minor subdivision filing deadline and any extension. We plan check prints and revisions to your agreed schedule.

Provide the required bearing basis for Salem and Cumberland County work, including true-bearing references where applicable.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Arcengine holds no New Jersey surveyor license or Board certificate of authorization and supplies CAD drafting only. It does not survey or offer surveying. Confirm the outside-drafting arrangement with the Board or counsel before sending work. Under N.J.A.C. 13:40-9.2, the licensee maintains regular, effective supervision during preparation and detailed review; a cursory final check is insufficient. That surveyor remains responsible and signs and seals the plat.
