Oregon Land Survey Drafting
Land Survey Drafting in Oregon
Land survey drafting in Oregon for Professional Land Surveyors. We turn your field data, records, and narrative into survey maps, partition and subdivision plats, and property line adjustment drawings. You supervise preparation, review each sheet, and sign, seal, and file it.
Overview
What is Land Survey Drafting in Oregon?
We prepare Oregon survey maps and plats from your points, deeds, record maps, and calculations. Your narrative explains the evidence and decisions behind the lines; we place it on the map or a cross-referenced sheet.
Your land-record references matter to the drawing. We retain the section, township, range, Donation Land Claim, or recorded plat references you identify, and distinguish measured values from records and monuments found from those set.
Oregon includes developing survey measurements into maps within land surveying. Confirm with OSBEELS or counsel how ORS 672.060(11) applies before work starts; outside-company eligibility is not automatic. You direct our land survey drafting services, including property line adjustments and ALTA/NSPS land title survey plats, and make every boundary decision.

Why it matters
ORS 209 survey maps, ORS 92 plats, and county surveyor review
ORS chapter 209 governs filed survey maps, while ORS chapter 92 governs plats. OSBEELS regulates the PLS. We prepare the map items and narrative layout you direct, working to the county surveyor's checklist.
Clackamas, Multnomah, and Washington counties share Tri-County drafting standards. Send the current county requirements so we can set borders, lettering, boundary line weights, and PDF review files correctly.
Specify Oregon North (3601), South (3602), or an OCRS zone. We retain the system and zone labels from your control data.
NAD 83 State Plane and OCRS work use international feet or the specified metric units; legacy NAD 27 records may use U.S. survey feet. We preserve the supplied units.
ODOT's OCRS includes local low-distortion zones and 2022 versions. Tell us the datum, epoch, zone, and values to use; the modernized national tools remain beta.
Supply ties to the applicable PLSS, Donation Land Claim, subdivision, partition, or condominium monuments for the filed survey map.
You write the narrative describing the survey's purpose, controlling evidence, and boundary decisions. We place the text and cross-references in the required layout.
Your PLS signs and seals the map pages and separate narrative as required. You decide whether a correction can use an affidavit or needs another map.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
No. Arcengine supplies CAD drafting, holds no OSBEELS registration, and offers no land surveying to landowners. ORS 672.060(11) addresses supervised work but does not automatically qualify every outside-company arrangement. Confirm eligibility with OSBEELS or counsel before sending work. The PLS directs preparation throughout, makes boundary decisions, and signs and seals the final documents. Landowners should hire an OSBEELS-registered PLS.
Yes. We use the State Plane or OCRS system, zone, datum, epoch, and units you specify. For a description using boundary coordinates, we keep the system and zone consistent and place your metadata. OCRS 2022 versions exist, but NGS's modernized tools remain beta; you direct any transition.
Yes. A partition creates up to three parcels in a calendar year; a subdivision creates four or more lots. We draft 18 × 24 inch sheets with your areas, bearings, distances, curve data, easements, and local blocks. You respond to county or designated city surveyor review.
We agree the drafting schedule around your filing date. The 45-day period starts with the first monument set. Send that date early so you have time to review, sign, and file. If a temporary map and written extension notice are needed, you handle the notice and can send us the map scope.
Yes. Send the current county checklist or Tri-County standard with the job. We follow its borders, lettering, scales, and submittal format. Forward county corrections promptly so we can agree a revision date within your applicable response window.
